Jen and Andy Pfister of Black Hills Receptions & Rentals in Rapid City strive to preserve peace of mind for their wedding clients.
This was no different for the newlywed couple, Shaina and Luke Fyke.
Shaina and Luke met in a modern way, swiping right on Bumble in July 2019. Shortly after their initial match, the couple ventured to Independent Ale House to enjoy new brews.
Upon searching for a local wedding venue, Black Hills Receptions & Rentals captured the couple’s eye based on the flexibility in food and beverages.

“There were also many services offered by the staff, including decorating, setting up, and tearing down everything,” added Shaina. “Now looking back at our wedding day and the preparation leading up to it, we couldn’t have done it without the Black Hills Receptions team.”

The Fykes celebrated their special day wrapped in a romantic, modern, & classic setting, using a mixture of colors including burgundy, rose gold, & champagne.
“We offer rentals for onsite and offsite weddings,” said Jen. “We coordinate anything from large event tents, tables, chairs, linens, to décor.”
Clients, such as Shaina and Luke, work with the Pfisters to create a close and personalized relationship.

“We work to get to know our couples and personalize their wedding, so it’s never the same,” explained Jen. “We don’t offer package deals. With that, the couple can come in, pick everything out, and create their own wedding.”
Couples have the opportunity to choose from various décor options from glasses, china, centerpieces, and greenery.
“We have a multitude of options when it comes to personalizing weddings,” said Jen. “We always say, ‘You bring the dress, and we’ll do the rest’.”
