Till death do us part.

For Ashlyn Zellefrow and Chris Delaunay, it was important that their wedding day reflected them as a couple—unique and timeless.

The couple celebrated their dark, moody, romantic, and intimate wedding at the Historic Homestake Opera House in Lead.

“We felt the opera house provided the aesthetic we were looking for as a venue,” said Ashlyn.

“OUR STAFF WORKS TO PROVIDE A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED.”

The Homestake Opera House provides different options for wedding venue rentals. Suited for ceremonies and small receptions, the wedding packages are based on building usage and time.

On top of venue rentals, Homestake Opera House provides a la-carte rental options to add the finishing touches to the couple’s special day.

“We strive to make the experience as stress-free as possible,” said director of outreach and administration Cassie Sams.

“The building speaks for itself, so not much decorating or set-up is required, making it easier and less worrisome.”

Sams shares that the historic building was initially built in 1914, but suffered a fire in 1984. While the damage is still evident, Sams says that the building creates a unique backdrop for a wedding.

“It tells a story without saying any words,” she added.
